Privacy Policy
AuctionMath provides browser-based auction calculators, including tools for buyer's premium confirmation, auction invoice estimates, maximum bid ceilings, seller net proceeds, and historical exchange rates. The site does not require you to create an account.
Information We Collect
We do not ask you to submit personal information to use the calculator. If you contact us by email, we may receive your email address and any information you choose to include in your message.
Calculator Inputs
The amounts, percentages, bid increments, taxes, shipping costs, seller costs, and arithmetic expressions you enter into the buyer's premium, invoice, bid ceiling, seller net, and basic calculators are processed locally in your browser. The basic calculator keeps its history, including expressions, results, and notes you enter, in local browser storage unless you clear it. We do not intentionally send these calculator inputs to our server.
The historical exchange-rate calculator sends the selected date, source currency, target currency, and amount to our API endpoints so the conversion can be calculated. The precious-metal calculator sends the selected date, metal, target currency, and amount to our API. Our endpoints request reference data from Frankfurter for currency rates and from Metals.Dev for precious metal prices. We do not intentionally store these inputs beyond temporary hosting and provider request logs.
Successful historical exchange-rate and precious-metal lookup results may be cached in your browser to load repeated requests faster. These cached values and calculator history are stored on your device; clear the site's browser data to remove them.
Advertising and Cookies
We may use Google AdSense or similar advertising services to display ads. Advertising partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, device identifiers, or similar technologies to serve and measure ads. These technologies may allow third parties, including Google, to place and read cookies on your browser or collect information as a result of ad serving on this site.
You can learn more about how Google uses information from sites and apps that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Analytics
We may use basic analytics or hosting logs to understand site traffic, diagnose technical issues, and improve the tool. These services may collect information such as browser type, device type, referring pages, approximate location, and pages visited.
Hosting and API Providers
The site may be hosted by a cloud hosting provider that processes requests, IP addresses, browser information, and server logs as part of delivering the site and API endpoints. API keys used to request third-party reference data are stored server-side and are not intentionally exposed in browser code.
Your Choices
You can adjust your browser settings to block or delete cookies. You can also use Google's ad settings and industry opt-out tools to manage personalized advertising preferences.
Children's Privacy
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
